Home / MacQueen Orchards - Holland, Ohio Fall Activities
MacQueen Orchards on Garden Road in Holland, west of Toledo, is a family apple orchard with a cider mill, bakery, farm market and gift shops. It is open every day from 9 AM to 7 PM through October, and families come for pick-your-own apples and a weekend kids' play area.
When is apple picking?
The pick-your-own apple season generally runs from mid-September to the third week of October, depending on the crop and the weather. The orchard grows 16 apple varieties.
Is there something for kids to do besides picking?
Adventure Land, an outdoor play area with jumping pillows, slides, basketball and farm animals, is open weekends through October 31. Kiddie rides also run out front on weekends.
What happens at the Apple Butter Festival?
The 2026 festival is the weekend of October 3 and 4, with pick-your-own apples and pumpkins, a corn maze, live entertainment, pony rides, carousels, barrel train rides and a petting zoo. Festival food runs from BBQ chicken and gyros to funnel cakes and kettle corn.
