Home / Samascott Orchards - Kinderhook, New York Fall Activities

Samascott Orchards on Sunset Avenue in Kinderhook is a fourth-generation family farm where apples are the signature crop. It is open for pick-your-own from mid-June through October, 8 AM to 5 PM with the last entry at 4 PM, and it is closed on Tuesdays.
Is there a fall event at the orchard?
On Sunday, October 11, from 11 AM to 5 PM, a pop-up cider bar sets up in the middle of the orchard alongside pick-your-own. Tickets are $13 a person at the door, children 9 and under are free, and each ticket includes a hard cider or a non-alcoholic sparkling cider.
Where are the corn maze and the bakery?
Both are at the family's Garden Market on Chatham Street, a separate stop with its own hours. That is where you buy maze tickets and find the cider donuts and pies.
How do we reach the orchard?
Call or text (518) 217-2868. Remember the orchard is closed on Tuesdays.
