Cooks Farm Dairy

Cook's Farm Dairy on Seymour Lake Road in Ortonville is a working dairy farm the Cook family has run since 1933. In fall it adds weekend hayrides to the pumpkin patch, a corn maze, fall decor and its Pumpkin Crunch ice cream.

When do the hayrides run?

On weekends in October, from 1 to 6 PM. Every ride includes a pick-your-own pumpkin, a donut and a small glass of chocolate milk. Groups of 20 or more can call ahead to book.

What else can kids do?

Watch the cows get milked, pet the baby cows, feed the piggies your leftovers and help bottle-feed a calf if it is feeding time. The corn maze is open through October.

What are the farm's hours?

Monday through Saturday 7 AM to 10 PM, and Sunday noon to 10 PM, so an evening ice cream stop is easy to fit in.
