Bennett's Orchard on Consear Road in Ottawa Lake, just off US 23 at Exit 3, grows apples and pumpkins and presses fresh cider. Through October 31 it is open Monday through Saturday 9 AM to 7 PM and Sunday 10 AM to 5 PM.
Can we pick our own apples?
Yes. You can come out for apple picking or buy apples already picked in the country store, which also carries cider, honey, jams and eggs.
When are the donuts available?
Fresh donuts are made on weekends. Food trucks are at the farm most Saturdays and Sundays in September and October, with updates on Facebook.
Anything to know before we go?
Pets are not allowed indoors or outside, though service dogs are welcome. Weekend parking gets tight, so use the grass lots on either side of the drive, and keep children close and off ladders and crates on this working farm.
Is it open after October?
Yes, with shorter hours in November and December, Monday through Saturday 9 AM to 5 PM, when the farm sells Christmas trees.
