El Dorado Orchards

El Dorado Orchards is an Apple Hill farm on North Canyon Road in Camino, about an hour and a quarter from Sacramento. It calls itself home to Apple Hill's only real train ride, and for 2026 it is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Which days can we visit this fall?

Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The farm has not posted daily times, so call (530) 642-1222 before a long drive.

What is there besides the train?

A craft fair, a fruit stand and a bake shop. The bake shop lists apple and blackberry pies, caramel apples, apple cakes, apple cider, apple butter and applesauce.

Can we come back for a Christmas tree?

Yes. The farm also runs a choose and cut Christmas tree farm on the property.
